The "TIPS In Lockers" program will place the Student Crime
Stoppers TIPS number in all lockers in all schools in Palm
Beach County.
Chief
Kelly will inform school police and school administrators
of the program along with creating awareness to the students
and parents. Along with TIPS in lockers, posters will be
placed in classrooms and informative materials disseminated.
Through
the cooperation of Palm Beach County School Transportation
(School buses), information displaying the TIPS number will
be posted in school buses. Students need to know that they
can call someone, at one number, to report criminal activity
without anyone knowing who they are. In addition to those
cases solved by student callers, calls have been received
for the following: Animal abuse, Battery, Bomb, Firearms,
Gang activity, Hit & Run, Pipe bomb, Sexual assault, Suspicious
Person/Incident, Shooting, and Threats.

NEW THIS YEAR!
$500.00
REWARD
For the recovery of firearms
In addition to the current Student Crime Stoppers reward
of up to $100, an additional reward has been suggested,
and approved by the Board of Directors. The reward of $500
for the recovery of firearms should emphasize the importance
of reporting firearms while allowing students to remain
anonymous.
Because of the financial burden placed on this non-profit
organization to cover rewards and the cost of creating new
and additional materials, Crime Stoppers needs your help.
